ABOUT US

4 Generations of Industry Excellence

The story of A.Z.E. Supply is one of family, resilience, and an enduring commitment to quality. Our roots trace back nearly a century, beginning in 1926 with Standard Pipe and Supply Inc., a family-run business that grew to become one of the largest steel pipe suppliers on the East Coast. With a large facility just outside Philadelphia and over 50 employees, Standard Pipe proudly served both commercial and government clients with integrity and care.

After graduating from Syracuse University, John Carson joined the family business and quickly rose through the ranks, eventually serving as President of the company. But in 1983, when Standard Pipe closed its doors, John found himself, along with many longtime colleagues, at a crossroads.

Rather than walk away from the industry he knew and loved, John took a leap of faith. In 1987, he launched A.Z.E. Supply Company out of a one-room office, guided by the values passed down through generations: trust, hard work, and personalized service. With decades of experience and strong relationships built on mutual respect, he steadily grew the company into one of the government’s most reliable suppliers of commercial and military specification pipe, valves, and fittings.

The name A.Z.E. is more than just an acronym, it’s a tribute to John’s children: Adam, Zachary, and Emily. It’s a symbol of the family values that continue to shape our culture and our customer relationships to this day.

Now, that legacy is entering a new chapter. Emily Carson, the “E” in A.Z.E., has stepped into the business, learning the ropes and preparing to lead the company into its next era. With her involvement and the next generation beginning to emerge, A.Z.E. remains a family-owned, independent company committed to going above and beyond for every client, every time.

We’re proud of where we come from, and excited about where we’re going.
We hope you’ll be part of the journey.
